Memorial Day

It’s Memorial Day weekend! Which for most folks means a three-day weekend followed by a four-day work week.

For others, it’s a chance to remember and give thanks to our veterans, those still fighting, and those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we take for granted every day. Like the ability to express ourselves in our own little corners of the Internets.

So thank you!

I’m looking forward to a weekend of sleeping in and doing whatever I damn well please. Like sewing, and cleaning, and cooking. M decided to not go on the boys trip, which is cool, so he’ll be home all weekend to hang out with me.

I am going shopping tomorrow with my mother and sister for baby shower stuff for our cousin. She is pregnant, and the family is throwing a shower for her.

I’m also probably going to be doing some major get rid of things cleaning this weekend as well. Almost ALL our sheet sets have huge rips in them from the dogs, as well as the fact that we only have a couple and the little stinkers tear into them all the dang time. I also need to purchase a new comforter, since mine is getting a little worn out. There are some super cute ones at Target that I have been eye balling for the past few months, so I might have to make that trip. The only thing I find frustrating is the fact that almost all the good sheets are sold in sets. We don’t use a flat sheet. So getting one when I don’t need it is kind of stupid. Yeah. So I will probably try to go sheet shopping this weekend.

I also have a TON of older, barely used purses that I might be thinking of getting rid of. I don’t know yet. I do know that I have a tote tub full of them under my bed! If only my house were a tiny bit bigger. Sigh-someday it will be.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!
