For the last two weeks, I’ve been sick off and on. Like food poisoning-esque sick. And that’s pretty freaking awful. I’ve had food poisoning a time or two, and I can guarantee that it’s not a fun time at all!

So last weekend was a lot of fun. We went down to Main Street for Christmas traditions and for the most part the kids were really good. Then we headed to Cracker Barrel for dinner. I got the fried shrimp, and they were really pretty delish. Saturday,  I did the Santa’s North Pole Dash for the second time and even though I had the dog with me and we had to stop a couple of times, I shave 1 minute 10 seconds off of last years time! It was also a bit more fun because my sister was there, as well as a few of her friends, and I even spotted a friend of mine who volunteered on the course.

Sunday was Christmas tree-ing time. We all had breakfast at the Lion’s Club, and then loaded up to head out to the Christmas tree farm. This year I think it took us maybe 10 minutes to pick out all of our trees? But we all got pretty nice ones, and I’m in the process of decorating ours at home. We get a Frasier Fir, which is not native to Missouri, but it doesn’t make me itch when the needles touch me, and it hardly takes any water OR loses any needles (although this year’s tree seems to be doing more of that, but that could be because we left it in the garage for a day without any water). Then we went to Herman, which has a ton of little wineries in it. We ate at Stony Hill Winery, and even though we had a bit of a wait for our food, it was pretty delicious.

Then Monday-today, I’ve either felt crazy tired or sickly. On Tuesday I had a pizza from Subway for lunch and it felt like it just sat in my stomach and wouldn’t go away. Apparently, that is exactly what it was doing because it came back up about four and a half hours later on my way home (gross, right?). At least it didn’t come out my nose and I didn’t throw up in my car. I was safely ensconced in the bathroom of a Walgreens. Hopefully this sickly feeling goes away soon because I have a lot going on this weekend, and then next weekend is the weekend before Christmas, so I have a lot of shopping to get done between now and then!
