Or in my case, on the TV stand haphazardly.
Stocking stuffer time!
I have to buy most of my own stocking stuffers. If M gets me jewelry, he usually hides the box in the tree somewhere and I have to find it. So I just get myself a bunch of little things and call it square.
First and foremost, figure out what candy needs to go in there! I like milk chocolate, especially the ones filled with caramel, and M loves dark chocolate. I also found Pixie Sticks in one of those cute candy cane things and bought those to put in my stocking.
Now on to the good stuff…(not that candy isn’t good!)
I love these headband because they seriously don’t budge when your working out. And they are seriously cute! I wear them to yoga, running, work, etc. They have tons of different styles and colors, plus different widths. I have super wide ones, medium ones, and skinny ones. The skinny ones are fun to double up on. Most running stores here in STL carry them, plus you can find them online at www.sweatybands.com.
Phone/MP3 holders
I got the new iPhone back in October, and have been hesitant to run with it or do much of anything with it because I’m afraid of dropping it! So I found these and great thing about them is that they stretch, so you aren’t limited to one size phone or device. They are made by Amphipod, who makes all sorts of hydration belts/equipment as well. www.amphipod.com
Speaking of hydration belts, those make good presents too!
Headphones
I’ve had the same pair of headphones for a few years now, and while they still work, they always feel like they are going to pop out of my ears while I’m running. After hemming and hawing for a while on these, I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of Yurbuds. I got these exact ones (the Inspire for Women) and although I haven’t used them just yet, I’ve heard pretty awesome reviews from those who have. I will do my own write up, once I get a minute to break them in. www.yurbuds.com
The other thing I like about this company is that they are a local STL company!
Socks
Socks are also a high priority on my list, and I really like the cute ones made by the Fit Sock Company. Finally cute and funky running socks! I love color in my life, so these make my heart smile. www.fitssock.com
I’ve never tried Smartwool brand anything, so I bought a pair to give them a shot. I’ve heard great things about them, so I’m hoping we can be a match made in sock heaven! www.smartwool.com
Ornaments
Last but not least, something a little Christmasy. Ornaments! All the running stores in our area carry ornaments themed towards running activities. I have one that I bought last year that is white frosted with 13.1 printed on it. So something fun to hang on your tree!
Those are all my stocking stuffer ideas, so if you were waiting or wondering what to put in someone stocking, here’s some clues. And you’d better hurry up! Christmas is less than a week away now 🙂
