Besides take yesterday off work since snowmaggedon was rolling through town.
I signed up for a half-marathon in October.
Now I’m sure y’all are thinking, “Oh, gee, whoop de doo, a half mary”, but allow me to set y’all straight. I’m fat, I’m slow, and I tried the whole marathon thing once before, so for now, halves are where it’s at for me.
Now if I have any readers left after that little tirade…moving on.
Did I mention I went to the rich people’s mall on Sunday? I think I might have. Anyways, they have a Lululemon store there and I really wanted to get a new yoga mat, considering I slip and slide all over my current one and even when I put a towel over it, if the towel gets all bunched or twisted or not perfect then it really bothers me.
So I bought The Mat from Lulu and used it in Tuesday night’s class. I didn’t slide around on it, but for some extra weird reason, I started hyperventilating in class. WTF? I seriously had to take a break, and chill in the bathroom for a couple of minutes until I got my shit together. Thankfully, I had chosen a spot right next to the little cubby/locker room type area with a bathroom in it, so it wasn’t like I had to make a mile long walk in front of every one and nearly pass out (or actually pass out, it honestly felt like that was coming). It might have been a dehydration thing, or that I was simply breathing a little to well in class. I don’t know…hopefully it doesn’t happen again.
So all in all, not too shabby of a week considering I only had to work four days of it. Now for a low-key weekend at home. No rushing off any where, just hanging out and getting stuff done.
