Sometimes it’s really difficult to think up titles for posts!
So let’s see, what have I been up to? Not much and everything all at once is how it feels. At home, I’m accomplishing nothing, yet I also feel like I’ve hardly been home at all.
Case in point, this holiday weekend. Saturday, I had to go to my parents house and wait for the furniture repair man to show up and fix their bar stools that they bought. Someone put two of the together upside down. So when they called and said it would be in the morning, sometime after nine, I was think between nine and ten this guy would show up. Nope. Noon. He finally came at noon. Which by that time my mom had gotten home from her hair appointment and I could have left, but M was coming over to help move furniture, so what would have been the point? Three hours later they finally showed up and we got the furniture and got everything all set up. Then we went to dinner at the awesome Circle 7 restaurant in Ballwin. So delicious. I got the Rise & Shine burger, which had bacon, cheese, and a fried egg on it. I also tried a Hawaiian beer, Big Wave, by Kona Brewing Co, that was pretty good, too. I actually stopped and bought some Big Waves, two other Kona beers, and then a couple other beers I have been wanting to try but didn’t want to buy a whole six-pack of just to find out I don’t like it. Lucky for me, World Market let’s you create a custom six-pack. Perfect for trying new drinks.
I’m not a big drinker, but I do like trying new things.
Sunday I managed to make something for breakfast, which was pathetic because I had no bread or anything to make breakfast with. No potatoes, barely any eggs. It was sad. So I went to the grocery store and Target, because I had to get a present for the baby shower that I was going to later in the day. It was a nice shower and she got lots of cute baby stuff. Then it was back home, where I attempted (and failed) at being productive. Then we went to the casino with my parents and did not come home as big winners. Boo.
Monday I made breakfast again, this time more successfully. Then we had maybe a couple of hours before my dad was asking where we were, so we headed over to their house for their party and to help get ready for it. We actually didn’t stay very long (I had had a lot of family time this weekend), so we left in the downpour, and by the time we made it home, it cleared up. I did a few dishes, and watched some TV before heading to bed.
All in all, it’s been a pretty busy few days. Master Chef is back on, and it’s one of our favorite shows! So I’ve got that going on. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon to get my permanent crown put on, so that will be fun. Or not. I guess we will see!
